Tervoo FAQ

Tervoo.com

How does this site work?

Tervoo.com will schedule an interview with a technology professional. We will announce who we are interviewing next, and our users will have two weeks to ask, vote, and discuss questions proposed for the interview. A week after the voting is complete, we will post the answers to the questions provided by the interviewee.

How do I vote for a question I want to be asked?

You can see on the front page some of the most recent activity on the page. When a question has been noticed by many users recently it will get to the top of the front page. You can vote for any one of these questions by clicking "Ask it!" to the right side of the question. You can also vote for any of the top questions listed on the right side of the page by clicking the "Ask" button to the left of the question.

What does "Mute" Mean?

Every question that is submitted to Tervoo, you have one vote for. You can use that vote to "Ask it" or you can use that vote to "Mute" it. Basically, when you click "Mute" you are using your vote to say "Don't ask this question". This is useful if a question is inappropriate or just lame.

Questions

How do I ask a question?

In order to ask a question you must have an account, and be logged in. Asking your question is simple. After selecting the person you want to ask the question to, type your question in the top right text box and click submit

Are there limits to what I can ask?

We believe in free and open participation from our users. However, this does not allow our users to disrespect our interviewees or act inappropriately. The people that agree to a Tervoo interview are doing us all a huge favor, don't abuse that. Questions that are deemed inappropriate will result in consequences for that user or users accordingly that may include banning.

Interviews

How often do you have interviews?

Our plan is to provide our users with a new interview every Monday. That means Sunday night, at 12:00am you will get access to the new interview candidate. You can always count on that. As of now, there are no plans to increase or decrease the consistency of the interviews. Monday morning, come check us out, we'll have a new interview ready to go for ya.

Where can I see more interviews?

The green bar at the top of the page displays two of our current interviews, and one that has just finished. If you click on the arrow to the right side of the green bar, it will take you to see all our active interviews. If you click on the arrow to the left side of the green bar, it will take you to our archives of all past interviews.

Can I suggest an interview?

Absolutely. We want to make sure we're scheduling interviews with people you want to hear from. You can suggest an interview by clicking the "Suggest an interview" link right below the question text box. You can also suggest an interview from the active interview page.
